The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency says alligators and cougars are moving into Tennessee. The evidence keeps coming in.

This 7 foot gator was listed in the TWRA Tennessee Hunting & Trapping Guide for 2019-2020. The guide states, "There is evidence cougars and alligators are expanding their territories into Tennessee. Species expanding their ranges into Tennessee are protected and may not be taken until a hunting season is proclaimed. Alligators and cougars are protected by state laws in Tennessee."

So for now, no cougar or gator hunting.
