Fans anxiously awaiting Elton John's farewell tour-stop in Nashville on Monday are holding their breath, hoping the show will not be canceled. Elton John canceled Saturday nights show in Indianapolis due to extreme health conditions.
Hours before the 72-year-old singer's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour" concert in Indianapolis, Elton announced "with the heaviest heart" that he was postponing the show because of an illness.
"To my dear fans in Indianapolis, it is with the heaviest heart that I'm forced to deliver the news that I am extremely unwell and therefore unable to perform at @bankerslifefieldhouse tonight." he wrote. "I absolutely hate to let my fans down, but I owe it to you to put on the best #EltonFarewellTour show possible and unfortunately that's simply not possible. The date will be rearranged for March 26th 2020, and I promise I will deliver the show you deserve. Thank you so much for your support and understanding. xx."
Elton's mother-in-law,Gladys Furnish, died on Thursday and he dedicated "Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me" to her. during his show Thursday in Toronto.
No word yet if his Nashville show for Monday night will be affected.
