Taylor Swift has no regrets about working on what most people are calling one of the worst movies made in years. But she did call it a "weird-ass movie". It was ripped by critics and fans alike, but she's pretty open in a new interview that she's glad she did it.
She did an extensive interview with Variety, Swift talked about her experience with 'Cats', while not pretending to hold it in high regard.
“I’m happy to be here, happy to be nominated, and I had a really great time working on that weird-ass movie. I’m not gonna retroactively decide that it wasn’t the best experience. I never would have met Andrew Lloyd Webber or gotten to see how he works, and now he’s my buddy. I got to work with the sickest dancers and performers. No complaints.”
Some of her costars have given similar comments that acknowledge 'Cats' was pretty bad (without outright saying it).
James Corden told an interviewer he hasn't even watched it. But the word has gotten to him that it's terrible.
“I’ll catch it one day, I imagine.”
The interview also let's Taylor explain that she's more outspoken about issues and things she's passionate about. And she got us very hungry for her Netflix doc 'Miss Americana".
