Starting February 1st, there will be a public outdoor skating rink right on Nashville's lower Broadway. For $10, you skate for 75 minutes (includes skate rentals) while the world walks by during the day, and under the stars at night. The rink is being built on the plaza of Bridgestone Arena.

The rink is being built by the Nashville Predators, but will be open to anyone. Construction has begun on the project and the rink will open with a party on the plaza at 4pm that day. That night, the Predators will play the Vegas Golden Knights inside the Bridgestone.

Then in a few weeks, you might be seen skating on the mini rink outside by millions of Americans on NBCSports. February 16th is Hockey Day in America. The network will show three NHL games that day, including the Preds taking on St Louis. There will likely be plenty of camera time on the ice rink on Broadway.

During that Preds game, Nashville will wear their Winter Classic special jerseys. Those are the same jerseys the team wore on New Year's Day in the premier regular season game.
