First it was plant based burgers. Now it's plant sausage patties. But wait, the fake food doesn't stop there. KFC will be testing "beyond chicken" in Nashville starting Monday. We're the second market to get the chicken that ain't chicken.
KFC has been trying it out in Atlanta , where people have been buying it up till it sells out. Usually it is gone in 5 hours.
In a statement from KFC, they promise the "texture of whole muscle chicken that looks and tastes like KFC’s world-famous fried chicken."
They went on with the sales pitch, saying "KFC’s Beyond Fried Chicken is available in a six or 12-piece combo meal, including a side of KFC’s new Secret Recipe Fries, or in a four, six or 12-piece à la carte item. Customers can order them tossed in one of KFC’s tasty sauce options like Nashville Hot, Buffalo or Honey BBQ, or un-sauced with a choice of dipping sauces."
