With the number of coronavirus cases increasing rapidly, the team at Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering has put together this real time map of confirmed coronavirus patients around the world. When you see how this map changes, it scare the bejeezus out of ya (our words, not the lab coats at Johns Hopkins). Bookmark the map, and look at it a few hours later. Eeeek.
The map combines data from the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control and China's Center for Disease Control and other sources.
Lauren Gardner, a civil engineering professor and CSSE's co-director:
"We built this dashboard because we think it is important for the public to have an understanding of the outbreak situation as it unfolds with transparent data sources. For the research community, this data will become more valuable as we continue to collect it over time."
