It's been a little while, but Nashville Predators fans will be able to see and hear Luke Bryan perform the national anthem before Thursday nights predators game against the Islanders in Nashville. Luke Is part of the special night dedicated to CHD, congenital heart defects, in the special research and care those patients receive at the Monroe Carell Jr Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
In 2017, Luke and his wife Caroline lost their niece Sadie Brett Boyer to complications of CHD. They set up the Brett Boyer Foundation in her honor. Since setting it up, the foundation has been committed to raising awareness for congenital heart defects.
When Luke sings the anthem, he'll have two children dealing with CHD, one on each side of him.
Before the game, many organizations will gather together for a mixer with 200 heart warriors and their families. They'll be getting the superstar treatment for the night. One highlight, is the kids being able to high five the players as they enter the game.
