Along with violent thunderstorms, Nashville rush hour traffic had another problem to deal with: chickens running amuck on I-40 and I-65 near downtown. A flatbed tractor trailer lost it's load of live chickens after 7am Tuesday morning. Immediately, they became "cage-free".
TDOT workers and members of the public did their best to round up the foul as they bobbed through the grass on the medians near the I-40WB and I-65SB split.
Some of the chickens did not survive.
