AMC Theatres Delays Reopening Until July 30th Amid Spike in COVID-19 Cases

While there are countless things that I miss about our pre-coronavirus-world, going to the movies is definitely towards ~*ThE tOp*~ of that list.

AMC Theatres was slated to reopen 450 of their 600 locations July 15th -- with the implementation of social distancing, of course -- but they've just pushed the date back another two weeks, after a spike in COVID-19 cases across the country. Highly anticipated releases like Christopher Nolan's Tenet & Disney's live-action Mulan are slated to premiere August 12th and 21st.

AMC's safety measures will include the implementation of new cleaning procedures, installing hand-sanitizing stations throughout its theaters and encouraging contact-less and cash-free interactions at concessions. The chain will also require all guests to wear face-masks.
