Tennessee's Extended 'Slow Poke' Law Goes Into Effect Today

The State of Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus has released a list of laws from the 2019-2020 session that will go into effect *today*. One of them is an extension of TN's "slow poke" law, which now requires cars to stay out of the left lane on divided highways with two or more lanes unless they're passing other vehicles, or while the road is under construction/repair. [The law previously only applied to interstates with three or more lanes.]

Violators could face a $50 fine.
