The drive-in concert by The Chainsmokers in the Hamptons last weekend, was not socially distanced. And the governor of New York called the concert appalling. The "Safe and Sound" tour (which has been rumored to travel the US, including a stop in Nashville) was supposed to be handled in a way that respected laws about gatherings, but it appears to have not turned out that way. Mobs of people in the "VIP" area were mentioned as one of the more egregious violations.
If this show with The Chainsmokers does come to Nashville. Mayor John Cooper thinks it can be handled responsibly like the drive in shows at Nissan Stadium with Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker.
