The 5G Conspiracy Theory That Any Nashville Musician Could See Through

Ever since the coronavirus pandemic hit, there have been conspiracy theories swirling around. The most widespread is the thought that new 5G cell towers are the root of COVID-19's spread, and a diagram has been circulating that is said to be a blueprint for a "5G chip" that's been implanted into vaccines. Thankfully there are people like Mari Fusco — an Italian software engineer — who called out what the image actually is: schematics for a BOSS Metal Zone guitar pedal.

"Here in Italy people started to share this figure claiming that this is the diagram of the 5G chip that has been inserted in the covid vaccine," he pointed out on Twitter. "In reality it is the electric circuit of a guitar pedal and I believe that putting it in the covid vaccine has been an excellent idea"

You don't have to look closely at the image to see words like "TREBLE," "BASS," and "VOLUME" written alongside various components. See it for yourself below.

Though ridiculous, this conspiracy theory is no laughing matter. On Christmas morning, a man detonated a bomb in Nashville, Tennessee, destroying a number of buildings and taking his own life. The blast occurred near the city's AT&T building, and local officials are currently investigating to see if "paranoia over 5G technology" could be motivation for the devastating incident.
