It appears that Nashville's pre-eminent, historic rock music venue Exit/iIn may be saved from developers after all. The owners of the Exit/In are nearing an accord with the development group that was going to tear it down in favor of another high-rise.
With rumors of its demise hitting Nashville music fans hard, they turned out to protest and opened their wallets to raise more than $200,000 to save it from the wrecking ball.
“We know Nashville’s music community can’t be bought,” the owners (The Cobb's) said in a joint statement to News 2.
Money raised from the GoFundMe are going to the couple’s offer. If everything fails, dollars raised will be given to organizations like the National Independent Venue Association and the Music Venue Alliance of Nashville.
