Taylor Swift Breaks The Beatle's 54 Year Record

Taylor Swift just did what many thought was impossible. She broke a record set by the Beatles that is nothing short of astounding. In England, Taylor Swift hit #1 with Fearless: Taylor's Verson. She also released Folklore and Evermore which went to #1. She did it in 259 days.

The Fab Four also released three albums that went to number 1 on the charts, but they took 364 days (1 day short of a year).

That was no small record. Until Friday, that achievement had been held by The Beatles for 54 years!

Taylor was prolific the last year with her indie-sound albums, but Fearless was a re-record (along with re-records from the vault). I'm not minimizing this in any way. In fact, I think it's fantastic this release broke the record AND she has the rights to this one. The original Fearless from 2008 ("Love Story" and "You Belong With Me") is owned by a conglomerate that wouldn't ket her buy her own music back.

You done showed 'em Taylor.
