Target To Stop Selling Pokèmon Cards Out of "Abundance of Caution"

Out of an "abundance of caution" for the safety of customers and employees, Target will stop selling Pokèmon cards in its stores. You read that right.

Starting Friday, the cards will be pulled from the shelves. Pokèmon Cards are riding a new wave of popularity and value. The Pokémon Company can't print enough cards to meet the demand. So people are crossing the line of sanity to get their hands on them.

Target has had enough. News outlets have reported people pulling guns during arguments over the cards with fellow customers.

One person slid down a rope from the ceiling and stole $9,000 worth of cards.

Another problem came with a promotion inside cereal boxes. Customers were ripping open boxes to get the cards inside.

Target says it will also stop selling trading cards from sports like MLB, NFL, and the NBA. They've recently given people limits on the number of packs they can buy. Some stores have threatened to call the cops on people camping outside the store to get them when Target opened.

YUP. Time to check your attic for those old cards. Might be time to trade them in for a Tesla. Or Gas.
