Nashville Pastor Takes Down Gunman After He Points Gun At Congregation

A near tragedy was averted when a pastor at Nashville Light Mission Pentecostal Church took down a man with a gun inside the Trinity Lane house of worship.

Police reports say Dezire Baganda was in the congregation when the pastor and other worshippers were praying. They say the 26 year old man approached them with a gin in his hand. That's when they say he told everyone to get up and pointed the gun at them.

That's when Pastor Ezekiel Ndikumana grabbed Baganda tackled him, and other churchgoers held the gunman down until police could arrive. The pastor said he was not a registered member of the church, but had attended services in the past.
