Bill Introduced Would Federally Decriminalize Marijuana

A GOP congresswoman from South Carolina has introduced a bill to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level. It would impose a 3% tax going to various positive efforts. It would also expunge the records of those convicted at a federal level of merely using marijuana. That would mean the release of about 2800 people held in federal prisons.

States would still be allowed to regulate whether marijuana could be legal for recreational use, just as it stands now.
