Hyundai and Kia are recalling half a million cars to fix a problem that could cause them to burst into flames. They'll fix them free of charge, but ask owners not to park them inside garages because they could spontaneously become engulfed in flames.
They say the problem is with "foreign contaminants" in an anti-lock brake module. A short circuit could result and cause the engine compartment to catch fire.
Hyundai Motors is the parent company of Kia (although they operate separately in the U.S.).

The models include:
- 2014-15 Hyundai Tucson SUVs
- 2016-18 Kia K900 sedans
- 2014-16 Kia Sportage SUVs.
- 2016-18 Hyundai Santa Fe SUVs
- 2017-18 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport SUVs
- 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL models
Owners of these vehicles are asked to bring their vehicles to dealers where the brake module will be replaced, along with a fuse that controls the current that goes to the brake module. All the repairs are free under the recall.
