Built for the World's Fair in 1982, the "Sunsphere" was the pretty, new jewel on the Knoxville skyline. And now, 40 years later, it's back open for visitors!
The second most famous building project in Knoxville (second to Neyland Stadium) is a place you can enjoy. It's been closed since renovations began in March of 2020. Going up in the Sunsphere costs $5 for adults and it's free for 1982 World’s Fair timeline, gallery, and gift shop.
