Not a dry eye in Bridgestone Arena last night (or any of us watching on tv). A Vanderbilt student from Ukraine sand the Ukrainian Anthem in front of 17,000 plus fans before the Nashville Predators game last night.
Diana Nalyvaiko showed off her incredible voice as Smashville was lit in Ukrainian colors. Michael W. Smith accompanied her. She came to Vanderbilt at the beginning of the school year.
Now she's 5,000 miles from home. Her father is fighting the Russian invasion. The rest of her family is hiding.
What an amazing moment for Diana last night, and an incredibly moving moment of solidarity with the people of Ukraine for Nashville.
And an added bonus: The Predators beat rival Dallas and jumped ahead of them in the standings.
