(We just want to say we love our dentists at Woody and Jim Show and visiting them regularly is important for your teeth and your overall health.)
A Wisconsin man inhaled a 1-inch drill bit while sitting in the dentist's chair. "I was at the dentist getting a tooth filled, and then next thing I know I was told I swallowed this tool, so I didn't really even feel it going down. All I felt was a cough," he said.
NOTE: Everything turns out okay, but not for a while.
The drill bit, measuring one inch long, lodged in the lungs of patient Tom Jozsi. At first the solution was to remove a part of his lung! Thankfully, that wasn't necessary.
Using equipment used to detect cancer, they were able to find where the one-inch, pointy thing was lodged. Doctors will able to go through air passageways and safely remove it. It was there for 4 days.
Now it sits in a container on his shelf as a souvenir.
