Some big-time local celebrity investors are all in on Nashville's Major League Soccer Club. Nashville Soccer Club's majority owner, John Ingram, has welcomed Titans running back Derrick Henry and Reese Witherspoon (with her husband Jim Toth) as new minority owners.
According to The Tennessean, Henry is the fourth NFL player to invest his money in MLS. He said it's an investment in his family's future.
Nashville resident Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth wanted "n". "Reese is an amazing actress and business person and her husband Jim Toth is a successful agent in his own right," Ingram told The Tennessean. "They moved back a year or two ago from Los Angeles and she and the family wanted to be part of this. We’re all about being authentically Nashville."

Nashville SC has been on what seems like an eternal road trip. They've been playing away games for months while the finishing touches on Geodis Park are being made. They've racked up a record number of road wins while awaiting their future home. The first game ever played at Geodis is Sunday vs. Philadelphia. The game is sold out.
Witherspoon said in a statement, "One of the things that my whole family is most excited about is the Nashville Soccer Club. The opportunity to go as a family and watch a world-class team compete has been such an incredible experience. We are thrilled to be a part of the NSC family."
