One Tennessee couple is used to having one of their dogs in bed with them. But imagine their surprise when they woke up to find "that's not our dog laying between us!". Julie Johnson of Benten, Tennessee and her husband have three dogs of her own. So you can see why it didn't freak them out when a dog joined them in the dark.
She wrote on Facebook:
Her name is Nala and her mom is on the way to get her. Good luck getting her out of my bed mam.
It is absolutely normal to wake up in our house with one of OUR dogs in the bed with us.
One small problem, THIS IS NOT OUR DOG, nor do we know how she got in our house.
At first, we thought it was one of ours, but they rarely lay on the pillows! In pitch darkness, I just assumed it was. Wouldn’t we all?
As daylight began to creep in through our curtains we realized we were snuggling with someone else’s dog.
This is the weirdest post I have ever had to make. Is this your dog?
Please share.
Turns out this comfort lovin dog is named Nala and lives about 2 miles away. Some heavy storms might have scared Nala and caused her to run far from home and seek shelter somewhere. Turns out the Johnson's bed was the perfect spot.
They've reunited Nala with her owners and since then they've met up for a playdate where Julie and Nala enjoyed ice cream and treats.
