Nashville Predator star players and country singers just seem to be a perfect fit. Much like Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood, it's happened again.
Newly re-signed Predator Filip Forsberg married country star Erin Alvey in one of the most beautiful settings. The wedding was held at the French Castle Erin's family owns and where she spent her childhood. Check out the gorgeous pics, then hear the details of this amazing wedding and reception.
According to details in People Magazine, the superstar Pred Forsberg tied the knot with Erin Alvey, the "Easy To Love" singer at Danberry Castle Saturday. It's her family's château in France.
Erin told People,
"For me, it was particularly special to have grown up as a little girl playing on the same steps that I was lucky enough to marry my best friend on today."
Fil echoed the same sentiments, posting
"This weekend has been the best ever. To marry my best friend at this beautiful place, with all of our family and friends, was truly something extraordinary! Let’s ride, Forever Forever baby❤️ @erinalvey
Erin was walked down the aisle by her father, Dr. Gary O' Sullivan. She went down the aisle while Cascada, her German artist friend performed "Everytime We Touch".
She designed her own Winnie Couture gown over the course of 7 months. The ivory-colored satin strapless dress had one of the longest trains we've ever seen. Her family's O'Sullivan clan played bagpipes.
The reception was behind the castle in a clear tent with crystal chandeliers to light the settings after dark. They enjoyed a five course French meal, plus French macarons with each guests name written on the confections. There were cocktails named for Filip and Erin. "The Filthy" was Fil's drink, while her's was "The Sully" named after her family's name. 40 different candies were available from Forsberg's home country of Sweden.
Guests danced while a DJ flown in from Sweden provided the music. A fireworks display over the castle finished off the evening.
Congratulations Filip and Erin!
The two met here and reside in Nashville, where the Predator's left winger just signed a lucrative 8 yr deal worth approximately 68 million dollars.
