Netflix has been the top streamer since streaming became a thing. But not anymore. They've been losing subscribers since the beginning of the year (and profits). They currently have 220.67 million total global subscriptions after losing 1 million subscribers just last month.
Disney is the new #1. But to be fair, the 221 million subscribers includes Disney+, ESPN+ plus Hulu including Live TV. But this is still a significant change in top dog in streaming.

But things could change back because of this little-known fact here in the US.
Disney+ has an enormous amount of subscribers in India, where they are about to lose the rights to showing cricket games. Cricket is HUGE there.
Before the I break the VERY BAD NEWS... did you know the top tv show on Disney+ is The Simpsons? It's true.

BUMMER ALERT: Disney+ is jacking up the price per month from $7.99 to $10.99 starting December 8th.
The other channels are sticking you with massive price hikes too. October 10, Hulu's price goes up by $1 for the ad-supported version, now $7.99. Ad-free Hulu will go up to $14.99, from $12.99. Plus ESPN Plus goes up $3 this month.
So much for streaming costing less than cable.
