It's been said by Zillow that painting your front door charcoal or black, can raise the sale of your home by as much as $6,200.

But realtors have weighed in on the color that you should never paint your front door. The website Apartment Therapy talked to a bunch of realtors to get their thoughts.

Some said people like to paint their door a color that is different from the rest of the house. And that's fine. It makes your door very welcoming, and easily shows people where to enter.

But the color that came up most as a "big mistake" is hot pink. Sure Barbiecore is hot right now, but don't make your house wear it.

LA real estate agent Chantay Bridges says painting your door pink will be, “lessening curb appeal and not complimenting your nearby neighbors’ hues.”

Many said you should stay away from polarizing colors.

But there were plenty of agents who said a wildly different door could make your home "pop".
