Remember when the Spice Girls were the hottest group in the world? Remember the Spice World movie?
While the love continues for them, that was the late 90's. But their popularity has gone viral 25 years after one dad made a very "dad-like" statement about the Spice Girls found during a home renovation.
A family was updating their house when they removed old wallpaper from one of the rooms.

Under the wallpaper, they found something scribbled on the walls by the previous owner. It was a message written by the father of some Spice Girls fans back in the day. It read:
"It's the 5th October 1997. If the Spice Girls are still popular next time this room is decorated, I'll eat my overalls. By Dad."
The likes and shares and comments on this Reddit post are HUGE. One person said, "I wrote my name on a basement support beam in my childhood home when we moved out. A few months ago I managed to get into that house and walked around. My handwriting of my name was exactly as I left it in 1988, 29 years ago.
"Nobody added to it, nobody removed it."
Another person who liked the dad message commented: "In 2050 the wallpaper is also removed. 'If President Bieber gets re-elected, I'll swallow my lace shorts. Dad'."
