Father of Parkland Shooting Survivor Admits He Altered CNN E-mail

The father of Colton Haab, a survivor of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, has admitted that he doctored emails before sending them to various media outlets -- making it appear as though CNN tried to script his son’s questions for their town-hall event last week.

Many were outraged at Mr. Haab's original claim, including President Donald Trump, who tweeted about the matter, calling CNN "Fake News." Others thought the e-mails were proof that survivors with a "pro-gun agenda" were being censored by the network.

CNN immediately responded, releasing their copies of the e-mails in question.

Mr. Haab has since admitted to the Associated Press that he "omitted some words" from the email, but that he didn’t do it on purpose.

There was nothing malicious behind it,” he said.

Tucker Carlson of Fox News updated their audience on the matter Tuesday evening.
