Kim Kardashian has apparently been in talks with Jared Kushner (the president's adviser and son-in-law) about possibly getting Alice Marie Johnson, a 62 year old, out of jail. Johnson has been in prison since 1996, when she was convicted of non-violent drug trafficking. In 2016, Obama pardoned 231 non-violent drug crimes similar to Johnson's but she was not one of the cases that made the cut.
This isn't the first time Kim has taken a stand about a court case - she openly opposed the ruling that sentenced Cyntoia Brown (a Tennessee woman who killed a man when she was being trafficked for sex) to life in prison.
