The health of 19-year-old Madison Ricci [who was diagnosed with lupus at age 12] quickly deteriorated last year during spring break. While the University of Tampa student had already been on the list for a liver transplant, doctors told her family that a living donor was her best chance for survival. Cue 22-year-old Jaelin Highsmith, a total stranger who ended up saving Madison's life.
