Oprylands' TGI Friday's Competition Canceled Amid Coronavirus Fears

As fears increase in the states about Coronavirus, we are not only seeing a low in the stock market, talks of quarantine and now cancelation of events. In this case, franchise restaurant, TGI Friday's has canceled a convention and bartender competition that was scheduled to start next week in Nashville.

Amid growing fears of a coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., restaurant company TGI Friday's has canceled a convention and bartender competition that was scheduled to begin in Nashville next week.

The 2020 Global Business Conference and World Bartender Championship was set to be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center from Wednesday to Friday. However, TGI Friday's CEO Ray Blanchette announced in a statement the company made the "extremely difficult" decision to cancel the event. 

Home to various conventions and gatherings, Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center was to be home to the 2020 Global Business Conference and World Bartender Championship. However, CEO, Ray Blanchette of TGI Friday's announced that the decision to cancel the event was extremely difficult. But it had to be done in order to protect everyone. There is no set date on when it will be back to schedule.
