In an announcement Wednesday night the Southeastern Conference proclaimed that the tournament will be closed to the public. It will now be limited to the essential staff, limited family and credentialed media members. This is after the NCAA COVID-19 Advisory Panel suggested it.
Additionally, the conference also announced that all regular season games in sports on the SEC campuses and SEC Championship events will follow a similar attendance restriction. This will begin March 12 to at least March 30th.
