The legendary vocalist Betty Wright passed away at her home in Miami from a rare form of blood cancer on May 10. The funeral will be private but the soul singer's life will be honored on Saturday, May 23 at 12PM EST via livestream. Florida Memorial University and WPLG-Local 10 teamed up to broadcast her service on local10.com.
During Betty Wright's career she toured with Bob Marley and James Brown, while also working with Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan, Lil Wayne and reportedly Destiny Child's vocal coach.
She will be remembered.
