VIDEO: Nashville's Vice Mayor Shames Concerned Citizens At Council Meeting

Nashville's Vice Mayor Jim Shulman is being heavily criticized after a video posted on Twitter shows him shaming residents at last night's city council meeting, accusing them of "playing fun and games." Citizens showed up in large numbers after non-profit organization Gideon's Army shared a local call to action regarding the proposed budget, which would allocate almost $500 million to police, jails and courts.

The meeting was well-attended and flooded with calls from concerned Nashvillians throughout, and became the longest metro council meeting in the city's history -- lasting nearly 11 hours. News Channel 5 reports that more than 100 callers and in-person speakers asked the council to defund the Metro Nashville Police Department and distribute that money to education, transportation and public housing programs.
