Earlier this week we announced that Tennessee representatives were looking into making Juneteenth a legal holiday. Along with the state, companies like Twitter, Square and Squarespace have made it a company holiday, with Nike making it a paid holiday. Joining in the ranks, Target has become the latest company to make Juneteenth a national paid holiday.
Target has become the latest company to make Juneteenth a national paid holiday. The Target distribution centers and stores will remain open and hourly workers will get time and a half if they have to work on Juneteenth (June 19th). Target coporate offices will be closed. Will you be celebrating?
