With a pandemic raising COVID-19 numbers at alarming rates, it's a wonder if school will resume per usual. Some students and parents are worried about tuition increases. However, the students at all campuses of the University of Tennessee will not see an increase in tuition for the next school year. The board of trustees voted Friday that this will not happen. This will be the first time in the university's history that all four campuses will not have an increased tuition in the same year.
The campuses included are Knoxville, Chattanooga, Martin and the Health Science Center in Memphis. The board also approved plans for returning to campus in the Fall including a new rule requiring students and employees to get a flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine, if one is developed.
