On Monday, Ed Sheeran announced that he and his wife Cherry had welcomed their first child into the world -- a baby girl that they named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
While I think it's an absolutely GoRgEoUs name, many people were confused. You see, we knew why the lovebirds chose 'Lyra' -- it's the name of a character in Ed's favorite book.
But where tf did Antarctica came into play?
Well, it turns out that Antarctica is where the little one was conceived. Yep, that's right! 9 months ago, the couple took a cruise in the Southern Hemisphere to Antarctica.
There was also some confusion about where "Seaborn" came from -- in which case, you're a fake fan. LOL [I kid, I kid]! Seaborn is his wife Cherry's maiden name. Duh.
