Meharry Medical College has a lot to look forward to this year. Besides being the location for COVID-19 tests, Meharry Medical College holds up a lot for Nashville. Bloomberg Philanthropies will donate $34 million to fund scholarships of up to $100,000 for students at Meharry as part of a nationwide effort to bolster the ranks of Black doctors in America.
It is said the scholarships should be enough to wipe out about one third to half of the debt for the average Meharry student.
