Metro Public Health Announces 'Standby List' For COVID-19 Vaccine!

The COVID-19 vaccine is highly controversial. MILLIONS wanting to get the vaccine, but no access to it yet and MILLIONS completely against the vaccine all together!

GOOD NEWS for those waiting for their vaccination! Metro Public Health Department just announced 'a new initiative to ensure no doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are wasted.

Metro Public Health Department has created a 'standby list' that went into effect on Tuesday, January 12.

As of now, only people who fall into the current criteria are able to make an appointment from 8AM - 2:30PM at the clinic in East Nashville. However, they just introduced the standby list to make sure that none of the doses are wasted at the clinic!

A Health department spokesperson said in a statement:

Each vial of vaccine holds five doses, meaning a maximum of four doses would be offered through the Standby List on a given day. Just before the end of each day of vaccination at the clinic, MPHD nurses will determine if any doses will be remaining. The number of remaining doses will then be offered to those on the Standby list, chosen at random from the day’s list of entrants

If you want to be on the standby list, the health department is requesting that you email 'COVID19VaccineStandby@nashville.gov' to get your name on the list!

You should be able to get to the clinic in East Nashville within 30 minutes of the day's drawing at 2:30PM!

Each person interested in the vaccine can enter NO MORE than one time per day! If there is evidence of multiple entries, that leads to you being disqualified.
