Couples Can Now Getting Married Online

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, many couples have had to postpone their weddings for the year. Not wanting to wait, especially in New York, they are finding themselves using technology to tie the knot. That's right, not able to attend the actual wedding? No problem, you can watch the wedding ceremony on web video carriers like Zoom.

On Saturday, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order suspending the in-person requirement for marriages, allowing state clerks to perform the ceremony over video conference. This is in full effect until May 15 and also lets New York residents obtain their marriage licenses online.
