Paige Hunter, an 18 year old in the UK, left over 40 inspirational messages tied to the top of Sunderland's Wearmouth Bridge.
One of the messages said:
"Even though things are difficult, your life matters; you're a shining light in a dark world, so just hold on."
The local police stated that six people facing a mental health crisis were saved thanks to the notes. Paige received a commendation certificate from the police department honoring her simple act of kindness that turned into so much more!
Paige stated that she wasn't doing this for any sort of award, she just wanted to help people. She said the following:
"I wasn’t doing this for an award; it was just something that I wanted to do," the teen added. "It's just amazing, the response it has had."
