Elijah --a Labrador retriever mix & future service-dog --was just three weeks away from entering Advanced Training, so his handler [Ashley Wilt] decided to take him to Disneyland for a farewell trip. Their visit gathered media attention after a video of Elijah meeting Cinderella was posted to Instagram.
Wilt, 19, volunteers for Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that places service dogs with people with disabilities free of charge. According to ABC News, she's been working with Elijah since he was 2 months old, doing her part to train and socialize him.
Judging off of his behavior while visiting The Happiest Place on Earth, we're inclined to think she's done an amazing job, and that Elijah will make a wonderful companion to whoever he's placed with.
