Taylor Swift Claims Old Record Label Won't Give Her Back Her Songs

If you haven't been able to keep up with the Taylor Swift vs Scott Borchetta vs Scooter Braun vs Justin Bieber drama, it's time to buckle up!

Here's a quick summary:

Taylor Swift was signed to Big Machine Records until her contract ended in November 2018 - she then switched to Republic Records.

Scooter Braun (manager of Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, etc) purchased Big Machine from Scott. Taylor posted a statement on her Tumblr page detailing the issues she's had with Braun in the past AND the fact that Big Machine apparently wouldn't let her have her songs from all her albums unless she continued to make new albums with the label.

The turned the internet into a frenzy - Taylor's fans came to her defense and her celebrity friends posted statements on social media taking her side.

Justin Bieber, however, took to his Instagram page to "apologize" for getting in the middle of the Kanye/Kim/Taylor/Scooter drama that reputation seemed to be about. He also stood up for Scooter. Hailey Bieber stepped in and said that Justin was a "gentleman" for his post.

Hailey's post supporting Justin supporting Scooter prompted Cara Delevingne (long time member of Taylor's squad) to leave a message in support of Taylor.

OH and Scooter's wife Yael also stepped into the ring to take one for her husband.
