Tesla Eyes Nashville for New Factory Location

Driving around Music City, you may notice a few if not more Tesla cars on the road daily. Get ready for quite a few more if Elon Musk has it his way. CEO Elon Musk tweeted that the company is scouting locations to build the U.S. "gigafactory" that is going to produce the Cybertruck and Model Y vehicle.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted Tuesday evening that the company is “scouting” locations to build a new U.S. “gigafactory” that will produce the Cybertruck and Model Y crossover. Musk didn’t provide further information in the tweets, but a source told TechCrunch that Nashville is on a short list of contenders

With so many tech startups coming to Nashville and giving it a Silicon Valley feel, it's easy to see why luxury car company may be eyeing Nashville as its new hub. Tesla has a short list of locations it is scouting but it's looking like Nashville is one of the main contenders.
