With the COVID-19 outbreak making sure our hands are clean and that we're practicing social distancing at all times is vital. Hand sanitizer has increased in demands to the point where you may have seen a sky rocket in price. Fortunately, a Tennessee distillery is joining to efforts to fight coronavirus by providing a supply for those who need it the most.
The Old Forge Distillery in Pigeon Forge is providing almost 1,000 gallons of hand sanitizer for people across the state. It will be be to TEMA and TDOT and distributed in critical areas.
Other distilleries have joined the fight as well, including, Big Machine Distillery, Corsair Artisan Distillery and Old Glory Distiling Co. in producing sanitizer.
