Nike to Recognize Juneteenth as an Annual Paid Holiday

Next Friday is not just June 19 but it is also Juneteenth. This day commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. As you may note, Tennessee is looking into making the commemorative date a legal holiday. Athletic company, Nike, is now recognizing Juneteenth as an annual paid holiday for U.S. employees. CEO John Donahoe, also laid out more initiatives and taking an effort to further social causes in the company.

Adding to it Square and Twitter are declaring Juneteenth a company holiday as well. Is your employer celebrating Juneteenth?
