Rayshard Brooks will be laid to rest tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23 at the same church where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached. A public viewing will be held today at a private service at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. Senior pastor, Rev. Raphael G. Warnock will give the eulogy. Film mogul, Tyler Perry has paid for the funeral and Dr. King's daughter, Rev. Bernice A. King is scheduled to speak.
So far Garrett Rolfe, the police officer that shot Brooks in the back twice is currently in jail for felony murder and ten additional counts.
