As the COVID-19 numbers increase daily some businesses are still reopening. However, NASCAR officials are pulling the plug on not only its Champion's Week but also its Cup Series Awards. It is said another celebration will take place instead. "The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series champions will be celebrated at the end of the season with more details to come, said NASCAR officials."
During this time the week of events will return to Nashville in 2021. NASCAR had a two year deal with Nashville that includes an option for a third.
