With so many out during the holiday weekend, it seemed like many were without masks downtown. Nashville Mayor John Cooper said the Tennessee Department of Transportation has approved a plan to close parts of Broadway to traffic on weekend nights. Mayor Cooper's office says this will allow for greater space for social distancing.
The plan will be to close Broadway from 4th to 5th Avenue from 6PM to 11PM on Friday and Saturday nights through the end of September. The cross streets will remains open.
