The year 2020 has had various changes. Food brands are looking to that change as well. Brands like Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben's are joining other companies across the country to change or evolve their brands. Cream of Wheat has officially joined in as well. They will be getting rid of the Black chef from its packaging.The company is reconsidering marketing imagery that appears to rely on racial stereotypes. The company spokesperson also added that they will be taking a new philanthropic initiative to support diversity and inclusion in the culinary community.
They will be working with several culinary schools to help African-American and Latinx students with scholarships and other initiatives.
